Carla
Hi there! My name is Carla and I’m currently studying at Swinburne University of Technology towards a double degree in Design and Business. I graduated from Siena College with an ATAR of 98.60, while having also served as a Visual Arts and Design Captain. Throughout my high school years, I found that my teachers, parents and friends all contributed to my success. This, combined with hard work, structured study habits, and various study methods, led to results that I am very proud of, particularly in English and Psychology. I hope that I can be part of your support network and help you achieve your personal best, while making learning enjoyable. By using my high school experience, I can offer the same support I received to make your educational experience and learning seem less intimidating and help build your confidence, making learning more positive. As a tutor, I aim to provide continuous, ongoing, genuine support and guidance. The feeling of being overwhelmed throughout the school year is a feeling that I’m very familiar with. I understand that study can be challenging, and it can be tricky to find your rhythm. By working together, we can minimise these stresses and pressures. I would remain a supportive listener and help you maintain a positive mindset, whilst providing advice and tips to help you make studying easier, so you can look back proudly at your efforts and achievements. Through my experience as a school leader and a sports coach, I have learnt the importance of ensuring positivity, having strong, on-going, open communication, and creating a reassuring and calming environment to draw out the best in people. When I’m not studying, I love creating art, particularly drawing. I enjoy reading, often with a chai latte in hand and I play competitive basketball with some of my best mates. If you're looking for a tutor who is enthusiastic, supportive, dedicated and focused on teaching the more challenging topics in English, and Psychology, then I think we'd really get along and work well together!
