Hello, Guys! 👋
Hi there! I am Ben and here is a little bit about me. I graduated from Carey Baptist Grammar School as a House Captain of Gadsden and with a 99.55 ATAR. I completed 7 VCE subjects during my time at high school, five in Year 12 and two in Year 11. In Year 12 I completed Chemistry with a study score of 48, Specialist Mathematics, Physics, Software Development and Literature. In Year 11 I completed two accelerated subjects which were Mathematical Methods and Chinese as a Second Language. During my years at high school, I looked to focus on improving my ability to learn and challenge myself academically, hence the acceleration subjects. I also had the goal to emphasise improvement and efficiency which was important to me as I also had many extracurricular interests. These included playing violin in the school symphony orchestra, soccer for school sport, debating and House leadership. After finishing high school, I realised the importance of having inspiring mentors that are dedicated to your learning which has led me to write this bio. I want to help students that were in my position a few years ago. Currently, I study the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at Monash which means that I went through the intimidating UCAT and medical interview. I am more than happy to share my advice and experience to aspiring medical students! Other than my study I also enjoyed playing guitar, the violin and spending time with friends.
