Annabel
Hello! I’m Annabel, and I’m here to help you learn how you learn best, and survive school along the way.
I graduated high school with a 99.65 ATAR and results of 100% for Chemistry, 99% for Biology, 98% for Physics, and 96% for Methods. I loved learning some of the content for these subjects and hope to bring you to also see the beauty and wonder in breaking down and understanding the order and disorder in the world around us.
Nowadays I split my time between studying a dual degree in Bioinformatics and Chemical/Biomedical Engineering at UQ; getting outside to hike, climb, cycle, and enjoy nature; reading fiction and nonfiction; and making clothes, jewellery, and more. At every stage in my academic journey, I’ve learnt to prioritise what’s important and how to cut unproductive study time so I can spend more time having a full, balanced life full of great friends and new experiences.
This has allowed me to maintain a 7.0 GPA in my uni studies while having plenty of time free to help lead the Women in Science and Neurotech clubs at uni, spend time with friends, and get out to explore mountains and waterfalls on weekends. I hope to share my learnings with you, to help you realise your full academic potential whilst having a good time outside of school!
