Hello, Guys! 👋
Hi everyone, thanks for viewing my profile! My name is Alex Liu, and I graduated from Hale School in 2025 achieving an ATAR of 99.60.
Year 12 is certainly not an easy year to go through, and coming out the other side successfully requires lots of preparation and hard work. However, I am certainly not perfect; I have had my fair share of burnouts and crashes, however through these challenging times I have learnt many valuable lessons, and it’s these pieces of wisdom which I’d like to share with you, so that you don’t have to learn the hard way like I did.
Academics-wise, I completed WACE Mathematics Specialist, Mathematical Methods, Chemistry, Physics, Literature and Japanese: Second Language, achieving a final score of 85+ in all these subjects. Having had my own tutoring in these subjects on top of studying them at school, I know these subjects inside-out and can certainly help with anything from the mainstream questions to the most niche ones. I understand all the important points, shortcuts, and examples which allow me to approach all your questions from many perspectives, and find the easiest method for you which makes the most sense.
On top of academics, I incredibly value work-life balance and I urge you to keep up all your hobbies and extracurriculars during Year 12, even if it feels very difficult. During Year 12, I captained my school’s 1st Badminton team and was an avid member of my school’s music wind orchestra and choir. Outside of school, my hobbies include going to the gym, running, playing badminton with friends and playing the guitar/piano/singing for leisure.
Year 12 is certainly tough, and I hope to teach and mentor you in the future to help you achieve your potential!
