Hello, Guys! 👋
Hi, I’m Xavier! 👋 I’m currently studying Engineering at Monash University and graduated from VCE in 2025 as Dux of my school with a 98.95 ATAR.
My favourite subjects to teach are Maths and Physics because they’re all about problem-solving, not just memorising a textbook. I love helping students reach that💡'aha!' moment where a tricky concept finally makes sense. Whether we’re building the foundations in Year 9 or tackling VCE Methods exam papers, I focus on 'real' understanding. My goal is to help you build the intuition and confidence you need to handle unfamiliar questions under pressure without second-guessing yourself.
My own VCE success came from a focus on high-volume practice rather than passive note-taking. I prioritised working through thousands of textbook problems and dozens of timed exams so that nothing on the actual test felt unfamiliar. I bring this same active approach to my tutoring. I want to help you move away from just reading the theory and towards actually mastering the mechanics of the questions.
Having gone through the VCE grind, I know the stress of juggling subjects and the importance of efficient study. I aim to create a relaxed and focused tutoring environment where we can work through problems properly. I’ll help you simplify complex topics and build the skills to tackle challenging questions with confidence. There's no such thing as a silly question; if something doesn't make sense, we'll slow down and find an explanation that works for you.
✈️ Outside of uni, I’m learning to fly sailplanes as my main hobby. I really enjoy it because it demands a level of focus that clears your head of everything else. Since there’s no engine, you have to be constantly thinking about the physics of it: energy management and aerodynamics. It’s a technical challenge, but the feeling of unpowered flight is awesome!
