Hi I'm Will, a student at the Australian National University studying a double Bachelor of Science and Maths. When I'm not at uni, I love diving into niche topics, going down research rabbit holes, and listening to music.
I am very passionate about the subjects that I teach and I believe that education is extremely important, so I take the responsibility that I am given very seriously. I also recognise that no two students learn in the same way. As such, I tailor the experience to each individual student, teaching in ways that allow students to learn efficiently. I also try to make the content related to the students unique interests because I understand that everyone learns better when they are enjoying learning.
As a tutor I think that it's important to acknowledge that mistakes happen and that everyone will experience failure at some point. This is not necessarily bad and is never the end. If a student gets a problem wrong, I emphasise the learning opportunity. If a student doesn't do as well in a test as they would have liked, I help them to look at how they can improve for the next test. I understand that no one can be perfect 100% of the time and that what is important is moving forward and always improving.
