Hi, I’m Tom.
I’ve been tutoring Maths and English for the past three years, both freelance and online, working with students from Year 7 through to Year 12. From 2023–2024, I was employed by Victoria University Secondary School, where I tutored Further Mathematics to advanced students in small groups (3–6 per class). That experience sharpened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and keep students engaged.

My style is structured, calm, and results-focused. I don’t overcomplicate things. I break topics down properly, make sure the foundations are solid, and then build up step-by-step until the student can solve problems independently and confidently. I care a lot about precision — especially in maths — but I also make sure sessions feel supportive rather than intense.
I’m very comfortable with online tutoring and run efficient, well-prepared sessions. If a student works hard, I’ll match that energy every time.
Whether the goal is improving grades, mastering difficult topics, or pushing into the top band, I’m here to make sure we get there properly.
