Skyla
Hi, my name is Skyla and I know first-hand how difficult and stressful schooling can be (especially in the senior years). I spent two years pouring over my flashcards and notes, making them perfect because just writing equations on paper never seemed like enough. Now I am left with multiple notebooks of meticulously written notes and the need to put them to use. In a short one-hour lesson I hope to alleviate some of the unavoidable stress that comes with Science and Maths subjects and provide you with the resources to achieve your best in all of your studies. In 2024 I graduated high school as the school captain and Dux with an atar of 98.5 and all five subject scores above 95. I am a three-time TEDx Youth speaker and I have won multiple awards in the field of STEM including the National Award for Wellbeing and the National Committee Award at the STEM MAD showcase, the Fraser Coast Young STEM award of the year and winning the Premiers Coding Challenge (twice). As well as receiving top of subject for Specialist, Methods, Physics and English in both my senior years and the ADF future innovators Award, the UniSC Engagement Award and the McGuren Shield for Application and Study at school awards nights. All of that is just one long way of saying that I am extremely passionate and dedicated in STEM subjects and have the ability to communicate this knowledge effectively. I love solving problems and can assure you that I will be equally or even more invested in your Maths and Science questions than you are. This year I will be studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Project Management at QUT (and sneaking off to the beach every chance I can). My goal is to stand in your corner as you tackle all the homework, exams and assignments thrown at you. School is a building block in helping you to achieve even greater things and I hope to have the opportunity to support you in forming the foundations for these accomplishments.
I can't wait to hear from you to discuss your study needs!
