Hello, I'm Mr Serge. I'm a professional registered teacher with 7.5 years of experience in public schools and private international schools. I am currently working in a Victorian government school teaching science and mathematics. I'm very excited to tutor you and to help you be successful in whichever subject area you would like support or extension in.
My portfolio is quite diverse; I have been teaching science and mathematics throughout my teaching career, specialising in Biology and Chemistry. I am qualified as a generalist as well, for both primary and secondary settings (all core subject areas: English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities). I also tutored English and Biology professionally at a tutoring academy for 2.5 years.
My ATAR was 99.8 and my IB score was 40/45. That opened up a lot of opportunities for me. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Botany and Biochemistry and then a Master of Teaching because I find teaching to be very rewarding and I want to help students experience success and open opportunities for them through active, goal-driven learning.
No matter what subject I tutor, my goal is to teach and train students how to think in order to both master that subject and to develop transferrable skills that can be applied in various contexts.
