Hi fellow high achievers, my name is Saryan Khanal. I hold a bachelor of biomedical science (honours) majoring in neuroscience. My research at the Queensland Brain Institute has given me deep insight into cognition - how we absorb, process, and apply knowledge - which I integrate into my tutoring to help students learn smarter.

Science and mathematics can be challenging, but they don’t have to be. By applying principles I’ve learnt throughout my academic journey - like memory consolidation, cognitive flexibility, and problem-solving strategies - I tailor my teaching methods to work WITH the brain, not against it. Whether it’s breaking down complex biology concepts, finding patterns in chemistry, or making physics more intuitive, I help students engage with their subjects in a way that is both efficient and rewarding.

My academic background includes being the DUX of my school and holding subject awards in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematical Methods. However, my passion for understanding how we learn and ability to cater for individual needs is far more critical to consider.

Beyond tutoring, I’m deeply involved in neuroscience research, exploring cognition and mental health and aim to complete my pHD in the following years. My experiences allows me to provide unique insights, making lessons more engaging and relevant to real-world applications. I am also very passionate about film and have deep love for acting which keeps me grounded during times of uncertainty.
