Sania
Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Sania đ
I'll start off with a few (possibly) fun facts about me! I'm a huge netball fan and played for around 6 years in primary and high school, I LOVE listening to music (as my Spotify listening hours will attest đ ) and I enjoy dancing.
During my junior years of high school, I was quite afraid of exams and my confidence was not the highest, which resulted in marks that I wasn't very happy with. After finding a tutor who encouraged me and helped improve my concept clarity, I actually enjoyed the subjects I was learning, and my marks also saw a huge improvement.
This experience inspired me to pursue tutoring, in order to have a similar positive impact on my students' learning experiences. My goal is to nurture genuine enjoyment and interest for learning in my students, and help maximise their potential!
I graduated from high school as a Prefect, with an ATAR of 98.50.
I started working as a tutor and mentor, at the beginning of my first year in uni, and have absolutely loved it! The thing that I have always kept in mind is to not have a rigid teaching style. Everyone has their own way of learning, and I adapt the way I teach based on each students' learning style, in order to provide a highly personalised experience.
Tutoring can be quite daunting, so I focus on building a strong rapport with my students and creating a space where they feel comfortable to ask any questions and seek clarification (no matter how small the doubt!)
I am studying the Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine course at UNSW, after having completed a year of Physiotherapy at WSU, and am really enjoying it! When I'm not studying and tutoring, I prioritise hanging out with my friends and family as much as possible :))
