Ruisi
Hi!
My name is Ruisi (think Lucy but with an ‘r’) and I’m a current medical student. I'm passionate about tutoring having been tutoring for the past year in various subjects for VCE, as well as other high school grades. I graduated high school with a 99.55 and on a full scholarship. In year 12, I studied English, Methods, Specialist Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (very much a stem girl).
We want learning and revising to be less dry and more time-efficient. As a tutor, I will tailor lesson plans and notes to each student and provide and help implement evidence-based learning approaches to streamline the learning process. For English, I obtained a raw 46 study score. I work with my students to target their weaknesses and study in a structured and systematic way that addresses the examiners’ perspectives while keeping lessons engaging. For maths, I will work together with you to understand concepts from different perspectives (beyond just the standard classroom explanation) and help you learn and refine techniques. In terms of biology, I got a raw 44 and attended the Australian Biology Olympiad Summer School (top 20 Australia). I will help you navigate the sheer amount of knowledge, not only understanding but also exploring and incorporating learning techniques suited to you - that will keep you motivated and keep the knowledge in your mind.
Also, having gone through the journey of medical application (5 interviews in various states) myself not too long ago - if you’re looking into how to get in, I can give you some insight and advice to achieving the results, and balance and overall application process.
