Hello, Guys! 👋
Hi, I’m Richard!
I achieved a raw 49 in psychology and a raw 48 in english, ending of the year with an atar of 99.05. I am currently studying the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at Monash University.
Year 12 is definitely a stressful time, with the neverending SACS (that seem to all fall on one week), the high workload and the fact that all tests taken…contribute to your final overall score. This is overwhelming, and to be honest, I wouldn’t want to go through the entire process again even if I could.
However, going through this journey, I believe I have picked up a few key skills, knowledge, and strategies that can make the entire year 12 process just that bit more manageable. Tutoring as a profession provides a unique intersection between schooling and self driven learning, allowing tutors (like myself) to be able to provide personalised support that caters to each and every individual. I believe a great tutor is not only able to provide the academic knowledge needed to succeed, but also able to build up genuine connections with each and every student. This is what I strive to achieve in each and every lesson.
Outside of tutoring, you can usually find me playing video games, reading novels or outside trying to get my 10,000 steps a day in. If you are loving for a tutor that is genuinely passionate about your growth, understands the difficulties of schooling and removes a lot of the uncertainty from studying, I’d love to hear from you!
