Hello, Guys! 👋

Hi! I’m Reuben, and I’m super excited to be a KIS Academics tutor for Maths and Physics. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical and Aerospace) at UQ, and I’ve always loved exploring how maths and physics help explain the world around us, and how to apply it to solve real problems.

As a tutor, I like to focus on building intuition for concepts from the ground up, because this lets you easily apply what you've learnt to literally any problem (within scope of course! I can't help you fix your Wi-Fi, solve the meaning of life, or break the laws of thermodynamics).

I totally understand how challenging these subjects can be, so I aim to make each session engaging, supportive, and tailored to how you learn best. I achieved a 100 in Maths Methods, 99 in Biology and Chemistry, and 98 in Specialist Maths and Physics, and not without a proportionate amount of struggle and late nights, so I most likely understand the problems you're having and how beat them.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy annoying the neighbours with my drumming, playing basketball and soccer, and finding my next way-too-ambitious project I will spend a concerning amount of time on. I look forward to helping you not only improve your marks, but also find some enjoyment in the world of maths, physics, and the journey of learning itself.
