Owen
Hi! My name is Owen. I graduated St Leonard’s College with an ATAR of 99.45, and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Music at The University of Melbourne. I aspire to be an engineer in the future and am truly passionate about learning, which makes me feel excited and privileged to have the opportunity to tutor young students. Throughout my time at school I was highly successful, ranking in the top 5% of the state in Methods, Specialist and Physics. I was also heavily involved in the music program, as principal cellist in the Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Strings. Having been through year 12 myself I know what it can feel like at times, so as a tutor it is my aim not only to ensure you have a great understanding of the content but also to enjoy the process along the way (hopefully). Outside of academic life, I enjoy playing my cello or some cricket, as well as hanging around with friends. High school can be stressful at times, but it’s important to maintain balance, keep everything in perspective and build good habits to fall back on. As someone who’s been through it myself, I strive to instil this in my students too. Happy studying!
