Olivia
Hi! I’m Olivia and I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Newcastle. I graduated from High School in the ultimate pandemic year of 2020 with an ATAR of 99.30. As the world was locking down, I was locking in. I am a friendly, passionate and experienced tutor and I believe that confidence is the key to academic success. As a tutor, I hope to instill such confidence into my students by providing them with clear explanations of curriculum, a range of relevant examples and the opportunity to consolidate their learning using various practice questions.
I love to create a safe and approachable environment for my students, providing them a platform where they do not hesitate to ask questions. I believe lived experiences are extremely important, and hope that my words of wisdom about study tips and exam tricks will also assist! Every subject can be approached differently, and it’s all about finding the right way to go about your learning.
I’ve spent more hours inside tutoring centres than my own home, from my own personal K-12 endeavours, to having worked for 7 years at a major primary school tutoring centre. I’m very proud to have contributed to many Selective School success stories, as a tutor, content creator and manager of a tutoring centre.
Whilst a major part of my life is dedicated to the joys of full-time studying and hospital placement, I also like to indulge in bouldering, pilates and the occasional international travel. Life is all about balance, and I’d love to help you efficiently achieve your academic goals so that you have the freedom to fully enjoy your hobbies too.
