Hello, Guys! 👋
I’m Michael, an economics, physics and mathematics tutor at KIS Academics.
I graduated high school with a 99.40 ATAR as DUX of my school.
I have great tutoring experience in the form of volunteering particularly in high school. Volunteering has assisted me in developing various strategies to teach students, particularly maths, physics and economics which I excelled in.
My study of HSC courses has allowed me to gain an ability to explain complex concepts within these subjects so that the student’s understanding derives much further than just within the problem, but instead the core of the course.
My main goal throughout year 12 was to remain consistent, and this consistency coupled with motivation allowed me to truly understand all the content that was being taught to me in order to apply my knowledge to high order questions, and I seek to teach other students these same methods.
I was also a distinguished achiever within various Maths, English and Economics competitions throughout high school, for example ICAS, Australian Maths Competition and the Australian Economics Olympiad.
Whilst preparing for these competitions I gained mentoring experience by assisting other students with difficult concepts and questions beyond the main school courses.
I am currently studying a double degree at UNSW, in actuarial studies and economics, two fields that enhance my ability to teach both economics and maths.
If you’re reading this, I’d assume you’re looking for a tutor, specifically economics or physics, or primary and high school maths, and I can assure you that my ability to transfer my knowledge into a unique learning style that unpacks content and maintains your own motivation will greatly assist you in achieving the results you desire.
