Hello, Guys! 👋

Hello! I'm Laya, I graduated from Macrob and I am currently studying Bachelor of Radiography and Medical Imaging (Honours) at Monash university.

I've come across students of all ages through my tutoring experience privately and at Kumon. This exposure has highlighted the importance of tailoring lessons according to the individual, as each student had a distinct learning style and approach. My adaptive teaching style can ensure a productive, personalised and enjoyable learning experience no matter the type of learner or their preferred learning speed.

My high school journey has taught me that gaining a deep understanding of the content is much more valuable than blindly trying to memorise the content and questions associated with it. This approach allowed me to apply my knowledge in a more practical manner, build on knowledge from previous years easier and connect my understanding to other areas of study. As a result of this, I make it a priority in my classes to ensure that my students truly comprehend the content through a variety of interactive resources, practical examples and engaging activities.

Aside from the content, I also aim to foster a pleasant and comfortable learning environment where questions are encouraged and students can develop confidence, critical thinking skills and most of all a love for learning and growth.
