Hi! I’m Laurie, and I’m here to guide you through all things IB. Having completed the IB Diploma myself, I understand exactly how challenging it can feel—and how manageable it becomes with the right systems in place. I teach practical, replicable strategies that simplify the IB, including exam techniques, essay-writing frameworks, time-management tips, and methods to score consistently high 7s.

I also have extensive resources ready for all my students: past papers, question banks, examiner reports, personalised templates, and essay structures. After analysing more than 10 years of past papers and mark schemes across the subjects I teach, I have developed a deep understanding of what examiners are actively looking for and how every question, essay, and paper is broken down. My lessons are designed to help you maximise your results and hit every point on the rubric with clarity and confidence.

I additionally specialise in TOK (Theory of Knowledge)—from choosing your exhibition prompt and structuring your commentary, to crafting polished and well-argued TOK essays. I teach students how to build strong arguments, integrate real-world examples, and demonstrate clear, high-level critical thinking in line with the IB criteria.

Experience

I’ve taught many students from primary through high school, with an average grade improvement of 20% or more from their initial consultation. Through both my own high-achievement in IB and years of tutoring experience, I’ve seen what strategies work best—and it’s my goal to impart those same effective, tangible methods to every student I work with.
