Kerry
Hello! I'm Kerry, a dedicated tutor currently studying Mechanical Engineering (Honours) and Computer Science at UWA with a Lawrence Scholarship. Outside of my academic achievements (which include obtaining a 99.60 ATAR, a Certificate of Distinction issued by SCSA, and an Academic Award (Honours) for all eligible semesters at All Saints' College), I have received first place in both State and National RoboCup competitions which allowed me to represent Australia at the International RoboCup Competition, a third degree black belt in Taekwondo, and a Distinction in my AMEB Grade 8 piano exam. I have always been exceptionally fascinated by STEM, and it is due to my unwavering passion for Maths and Science that I have pursued a pathway in Engineering and IT - I am beyond happy to share my knowledge and experiences with you!
I've always loved learning, but I know that learning can sometimes feel overwhelming. However, I strongly believe that with the right support, anyone can grasp even the trickiest concepts. My goal is to help you build confidence in your abilities, develop problem-solving skills, and achieve the results you're aiming for. Not only will you be learning what to study, but you will also be learning how to study. I break down challenging concepts into simpler and more manageable sections, show you how to apply those concepts to example problems, and teach you how to analyse practice questions to find patterns and strategies that can be used to solve future questions.
I tailor my lessons to each student, teaching in a way that suits your unique situation and learning style. Whether you're working on understanding difficult concepts or extending yourself further to achieve top marks in your exams, I will be there to help you each step of the way. Your success is my success, and let's work together to make learning easier and more enjoyable!
