Hi there, my name is Josh and I am currently studying mathematics at the University of Melbourne.
I completed the VCE at Waverley Christian College with an ATAR of 97.80. During year 11, I sat the American SAT, achieving a score which placed in the 95th percentile. Additionally, I have also achieved a distinction in the Australian Math Competition, as well as a high commendation for the University of Melbourne Mathematics and Statistics Research Competition.
From my personal experience, I understand how stressful and challenging year 12 is. Thus, I believe that as a tutor, I should be more than just a teacher. I believe that your academic abilities are equally as important as your ability to cope with the anxieties of year 12. With my diverse experience, I aim to be an encouraging tutor who will enrich your academic abilities and help you develop time management skills.
I will do the best I can to improve your grades by adapting to your needs. As your tutor, I will also strive to make the lessons engaging, foster discussions, and ensure that you understand the content that has been taught.
Outside of academics, I also enjoy reading, playing games with friends as well as playing chess.
