Johnny
Hi! My name is Johnny! Together we can rule the galaxy, improve your grades, develop good study habits, and help you enjoy your subjects! Well, maybe ruling the galaxy isn't something I have much experience in, but the other things are!
I'm studying at Adelaide University, going through a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance) (Advanced). Although I'm a 'muso', I loved my subjects and look to pursue bio-chemistry and then teaching after my music degree.
My tutoring style is not just helping you with content, but also finding things that interest you, and help you crack the code for your subject. In my opinion these two things are imperative to not only getting good grades, but having good mental health.
You've seen the subjects I tutor, so I'll break down how I approach them.
English can sometimes feel like a drag, however being critical of our own approaches, having detailed structures, and being efficient with our writing is how to tackle the arduous aspects of the subject.
Spanish ab initio is about knowing whats expected of you. From the get go we'll be speaking in Spanish, learning the basics of the language, and then doing practise exams! Its the best way - confía en mí chicos.
Bio doesn't have to be memorisation. I mastered it by finding things I was interested it in, asking lots of questions, and finding visual representations of the sometimes difficult-to-imagine processes.
I know the struggle that is the IB Music course, and for each portfolio I have tips and tricks on how to master the language and the knowledge they want you to communicate, as well as how to take advantage of exemplars and your own skills.
All the best for your education journey!
