Hi, I am Peter Yang. I graduated highschool achieving an ATAR of 99.45 (WACE). I scored 91.9 for maths methods and 89.3 for maths specialist in year 12.
I am passionate about being a highschool maths and physics tutor and have worked as a private tutor for 2 years. My teaching style consists of explaining underlying concepts and formula relevant to each topic for the student, writing notes and showing the process of applying conceptual understandings to practical problem solving. Students often had much better understanding of the topic after my explanations and in turn sometimes find the topic interesting and enjoyable. I had a student improve their grade from 73 in maths methods in year 11 to 91 at start of year 12 and from failing physics tests in year 11 to scoring 75 in year 12.
