Hello, Guys! 👋

Hi, I'm Jesslyn and I'm currently studying science at the University of Melbourne. I graduated the IB program with a score of 44.5 (99.5 ATAR), and achieved 14% over the grade boundary for a 7 in Maths AA HL and Chemistry SL. I'm passionate in sharing the same knowledge, study skills and tips that helped me through highschool, to help you achieve your academic goals.

I specialise in taking complex concepts and breaking it down to its core for a deeper and holistic understanding of the topic. As a tutor, I am happy to change my approach to teaching these topics in a way that tailors to you (e.g. visual representations or theoretical explanations). I also have strengths in fieldwork and lab work in regards to the science and geography IA/EE (scored an A), where I can break down the steps needed to fulfil the criteria. I aim to provide interactive and engaging lessons that can hopefully cultivate the same love for learning that I experienced in the IB program.

Throughout the IB program, I also experienced some burnout due to my unsustainable work-life balance (e.g. overworking / staying up late revising). Over time, I developed more efficient studying methods for each subject, freeing up time for other hobbies. When I didn't study or work, I enjoyed playing piano, gaming, hanging out with friends, and watching shows.
