Hi! I’m Jess, a recent James Ruse graduate and a current Actuarial Studies and Commerce student at UNSW. I've had experience tutoring Mathematics for Years 7–10, with a focus on helping students feel confident and comfortable with maths, not overwhelmed by it. I’ve also worked with students in both one-on-one and small group settings, supporting younger students adjust to the expectations of high school subjects. I take a calm, patient approach and adapt my explanations to suit each student’s learning style, so concepts make sense rather than feeling rushed or confusing. My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, build strong foundations, and gradually gain confidence in their abilities. I work closely with students (and parents) to make sure lessons are effective, encouraging, and tailored to each child’s needs.
