Jessie

Hi, I am Jessie. I am an experienced full-time teacher, currently employed in NSW. I moved interstate after graduating from Australian Catholic University in Canberra. Due to my various roles, I have a diverse range of experience with both the Australian Curriculum and the New South Wales Syllabus. As a university student, I gained four years of private tutoring experience. Teaching and learning is my passion and I value the opportunity to bring my classroom knowledge and expertise to students in my tutoring role to provide high quality, individualised learning support to target student goals and achievement. As an experienced primary trained teacher, I have extensive experience in all key learning areas including English, Mathematics, History, Geography, Science, PDHPE and Religion. I have experience in co-ordinating gifted and talented programs, as well as providing targeted support for students with diverse learning needs and learning difficulties. I am available to tutor students in a variety of subjects, including primary and high school. I am a highly adaptable teacher and I believe in making learning fun and engaging by building on students’ strengths, and relating learning to areas of interests. My personal interests include reading, writing, philosophy, running, and being in nature. I am passionate about holistic wellbeing and building students’ self-confidence. It would be my pleasure to develop a trusting partnership to support you or your child to achieve academic goals.
