Hello, Guys! 👋
Hello! I’m Zijie, and I believe studying should be strategic, efficient, and brutally focused on what actually matters — not endless grinding.
I graduated from University Senior College in 2025 with an ATAR of 99.85, achieving A+ results in Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, and A+ with Subject Merit awards in Mathematical Methods and English as an Additional Language (EAL), which are awarded to top 2% of the subejct cohort. I also completed the Flinders Extension Studies Program and received two High Distinctions, which gave me early exposure to university-level thinking, assessment standards, and independent learning.
I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, where I continue to build a strong foundation in scientific reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinking — skills that directly translate into how I teach.
What really sets me apart isn’t just the results — it’s how I teach. I don’t believe in flooding students with notes or asking them to memorise everything and hope for the best. Instead, I focus on helping students understand how to use what they know. I break concepts down step by step, show how they actually appear in exam questions, and train students to recognise patterns so they know what to do the moment they see a question. A big part of my teaching is thinking like a marker — understanding why marks are awarded, how answers are assessed, and how to turn solid understanding into consistent marks under time pressure.
I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning pace and strengths, whether that means revisiting fundamentals, accelerating high-achieving students, or refining exam technique and written responses. I encourage questions, challenge weak understanding early, and give direct, honest feedback — because that’s how students actually improve.
Alongside content revision, I also provide structured exam preparation, revision planning, and detailed feedback on assigment, helping students not only understand the material but use it effectively in assigment and exams.
If you’re looking for a tutor who is reliable, results-driven, and focused on making learning clearer — not harder — I’d be excited to work with you
