Harry
Hello there! My name is Harindra, but you can call me Harry if that’s easier :). My journey from being an average student to a top student wasn’t about luck or a sudden change, rather it was a result of learning and experimenting with various study and productivity skills. I aim to not only help my students by providing them content-specific knowledge, but impart with them important productivity skills to succeed across all subjects.
Having 3 years of tutoring experience under my belt, I am experienced in tailoring lessons to each students’ current level and needs, whether it is last-minute cramming for exams, touching up on topics, and anything in between. Being a recent graduate is another great asset, since I can understand the uncomfortable periods my students may feel during their academic journey, and provide them tried-and-tested strategies to come out the other side better.
Throughout my academic journey, I have actively participated in a wide range of extracurricular activities, from sports such as cricket and badminton, to fundraising initiatives like Live Below the Line and the World’s Greatest Shave, as well as leadership roles including Sports Captain and Guitar Captain. These various extracurricular roles taught me the importance of organisational skills, resillience and discipline in performing to a high standard whilst effectively balancing these with my academic journey.
I was also recognised with several academic accolades, including the Academic Excellence Distinguished Scholar Award, where I was featured on the school’s Honour Board for ranking within the top 2% of students. My consistent punctuality, professionalism, and organisational skills earned me perfect scores on semester behavioural reports, leading to the Academic Endeavour Award. In addition, I received awards for Achievement of Excellence in Numeracy and Outstanding Growth in Reading in the NAPLAN. I was also proud to achieve a Distinction in the Australian Junior Science Olympiad, reflecting my strong interest in STEM.
I specialise in:
VCE Mathematical Methods (units 1/2 & 3/4)
VCE Accounting (units 1/2 & 3/4)
UCAT - Equipping students with high-yield, effective preparation and providing time-saving strategies
NAPLAN - Focusing on improving students’ Numeracy and Literacy skills through dedicated practice and focus on efficient problem-solving techniques
Let’s do this!
