En-mei
Hey! đź‘‹ I'm En-mei.
Throughout Year 12, I moved mountains to accommodate myself with the best school/life balance I could. Now, my mission is to impart my deep content knowledge and wisdom of study tips and tricks to help you succeed too.
I graduated from Perth Modern with an ATAR of 98.75 and a really sore writing hand. In particular, I excelled in ATAR Literature and Modern History, and I've tried and tested all the study tactics you might have heard from your friends: rote memorisation, pacing through practice paper after practice paper, or spaced repetition. I aim to strive to inform you of the best strategies for each assessment type, which areas in specific subjects you'll want to master, and what mistakes to avoid.
Alongside Y11-Y12 ATAR subjects, I'm also experienced with teaching younger years too. I've worked closely with parents and students to achieve their goals for the selective school entry exam, GATE/ASET preparation and tutoring for NAPLAN across all subjects. Regardless of your goals, contact me with what your aspirations are and we can workshop and make a personalised tutoring plan together!
My first priority is to make studying fulfilling, not a chore. I'll endeavour to keep each lesson engaging and personalised, leaving you well equipped and confident stepping into your next assessment or exam!
I've got a deep passion for all things humanities, history and literature. This has translated to me studying at the Australian National University in the prestigious Bachelor of Philosophy (the undergraduate version of a Doctor of Philosophy - think of it as a mini-PHD!) And it will also inform my teaching philosophy for you. I'll apply my passion for these fields of study in my tutoring - making each lesson both educational and enjoyable!
