Hi all, My name is Connor Jacopino, and I graduated from Radford College in 2023. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Bond University on the Gold Coast, where I plan to continue my studies with a medical degree.
Academically, my favourite subject is chemistry. I love chemistry because it constitutes everything around us, from the air we breathe to the food we eat. I excelled in this subject, scoring in the top 5% of my cohort and achieving first place in organic chemistry. Besides chemistry, I have a strong passion for mathematics. Math is fascinating because it forms the foundation for all the sciences. It's also crucial for economics, a subject I enjoy because it provides insights into how our daily lives and decisions are influenced. During grades 11 and 12, I completed a selective extension program run by the Australian National University, which was a significant achievement for me, as well as winning a state economics budget competition.
Outside academics, I am passionate about motorsports, particularly Formula 1 and MotoGP, as there is something captivating about the speed, strategy, and skill involved in these sports. I also enjoy staying active by going to the gym, which helps me maintain a clear mind, or the beach, which is easy on the Gold Coast, to soak up the sun and relax by the ocean.
