Christine
A little bit about me: I went to high school in Wollongong at Smith’s Hill High School, but I am now based in Sydney, studying a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Advanced Studies majoring in Data Science and Neuroscience (Dalyell stream) at the University of Sydney! I am passionate about neuroscience, scientific research and languages, spending much of my free time on bedroom karaoke, sudoku, chatting with my friends and cooking up a storm!
Here’s what I can offer: I have experience and training in supporting students through primary school and high school. I specialise in coaching both students who are struggling with their courses and am equipped with a deep understanding on how to elevate results of excelling students. I also have extensive experience with tutoring students with special needs.
My excellent results in HSC English Advanced (95/100), Japanese Continuers (95/100) and Japanese Extension (48/50) are testament to my deep understanding on how to apply a wide variety of effective study techniques. I believe that these techniques, along with deconstructing content, should be the focus in studying! It is not just about revising basics, rereading study notes or rote memorisation!
I believe laying strong foundations in maths and english in a fun and approachable way is truly key to both academic and life success. As such, I focus on relating core concepts to content that students relate to, firmly encourage them to develop new skills.
Together we can tackle challenges in an engaging and personalised environment unique to one-on-one tutoring, working closely with you to achieve your academic long-term and short-term goals.
