Christian
EDUCATION STUDENT WITH ATAR OF 98.00 AND UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP.
Hi! My name's Christian, and I've been tutoring maths and Italian for about a year and a half. I believe that what sets me apart as a tutor is that I view teaching and tutoring as my number one career goal (not a temporary job), and am hence immensely determined to always discover new ways of teaching which are engaging and easy to understand.
Completing Year 12 with an ATAR of 98.00 and a RAW score of 47 in General Maths, as well as 43 in Italian, I am rather knowledgeable and capable in both Mathematics and Italian. Outside of tutoring, I love playing and watching sports (particularly soccer), as well as playing the piano.
My love for teaching coupled with my passion for maths and science led me to choose the double degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education (Honours) and Bachelor of Science at Monash University, which I am currently enrolled in with a Commonwealth Teaching Scholarship. I have chosen to major in Mathematics, so I will definitely be no stranger to high school and primary school maths!
School is definitely not just about the percentages and letter grades we receive. Hence, as a tutor, I do not only strive to provide tips and tricks for studying and sitting tests, but I also aim to be a mentor for the student, finding fun and engaging ways to teach to keep them motivated while always remaining considerate of their personal needs. I have always loved working with younger students, and I believe that my youth enables me to connect with them in a way that older teachers cannot always provide.
