Hi there, it's nice to meet you! My name is Chloe, and I'm a current medical student at Monash University with more than 500 hours of maths, chemistry and UCAT tutoring experience.
Excellent tutoring is made up of so many different factors. For me, what's most important is bringing kindness to empathy to each lesson. As someone who struggled in Y10 before 'getting my act together', I really do understand that the best learning happens when students trust me enough to say 'I don't know' or 'could we go a bit slower'.
My role as a tutor is to support every one of my students - whether this looks like going from a B to a C, or striving for a 45+ study score, I'm here to support you non-judgementally and adapt to your short and long term needs.
Of course, the nitty gritty is so important too! In 2021 and 2022, I received raw study scores of 49 and 44 in Math Methods and Specialist Maths. In terms of the UCAT, I received a score of 3310 including a perfect score of 900 in QR, putting me above the 99th percentile.
These scores didn't appear out of the blue, but rather emerged from me trying different methods (some great, some a bit inefficient) that I hope to pass onto my students :)
On a personal level, I'm a keen tennis player and baker. At the moment, I'm working on my kick serve and prefer playing on softer turf. My favourite things to bake are banana bread and cinammon apple cake.
