Charlie
Hi, I’m Charlie! In my view, being a great tutor goes far beyond obtaining impressive scores yourself - it stems from the passion and genuine interest in the learning process, and the content and knowledge to be consumed!
As someone who suddenly had an epiphany (thanks to some wonderfully inspirational teachers) to view school and the learning process in this way - a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow, expand your horizons if you will - I approached learning with an innate passion and motivation just came naturally. I hope to impart this outlook to my tutees and am greatly excited by the opportunity to do so.
Having juggled numerous commitments during my final years of high school – balancing work, serving as a school prefect, taking on leadership positions in our school cadet unit, actively participating in club and First-level school sports and music ensembles - I truly understand the stress of VCE but also the mindset required to still succeed in your studies without compromising on the other things that are important in your life.
If I could go back and experience school all over again, I would! Now I’m sure that’s not something most people would say! I just truly enjoyed learning and found joy in the sense of achievement and growth that came from it – setting goals and striving to do my best! As a tutor, my ultimate objective is to bring out the best in my students, whatever that might entail for each of them.
I am currently studying a double degree of commerce and engineering at Monash University and in my free time I love singing, dancing and listening to music, playing cricket and travelling!
