Hello, Guys! 👋
Hi! I’m Aiden, a tutor studying a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Engineering at Monash University. I have a love for both mathematics and Humanities, and I bringing together logical problem solving with clear and effective communication.
For many students, VCE can feel like a race against an ever increasing workload not helped by constant talk about exams, SAC rankings, and the pressure from all around to achieve a particular ATAR to get into a “good” university. For many, this environment can make the final years of high school stressful and often thoroughly unenjoyable, which itself hinders your performance.
I believe the key to avoiding burnout is maintaining balance: staying connected with friends, continuing activities you enjoy, and remaining engaged with school beyond just academics. During high school, debating played an important role in helping me maintain that balance (and in my choice to pursue law). It also gave me skills to communicate complex ideas clearly, which directly shapes how I tutor mathematics today.
I tutor ** Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics and high school math/science** and my role is to help make students’ academic journeys more enjoyable and, in turn, more successful. Too often, students become bogged down in memorising formulas or rehearsing specific exam responses, losing sight of the bigger picture. This approach limits genuine understanding and makes learning far less enjoyable. My goal is for students to focus on why methods work and how larger ideas connect. This helps students apply their knowledge confidently even in unfamiliar questions.
If you’re looking for a tutor who prioritises understanding, clarity, and confidence, feel free to get in touch!
