Adam
Hello, I'm Adam and I'd really like to be your tutor. I believe in optimising learning to ensure all studying is high-yield and efficient, that way you can minimise the time spent at your desk. I graduated from John Paul College in 2021 and received an ATAR of 99.7 with raw scores in the mid to high 90s for Math Methods, Specialist Maths, Physics and Chemistry. In year 12 I also received the Math Methods prize for getting the highest result in my cohort. Having achieved these results, I know what study techniques are most effective for STEM subjects and it’s my mission to teach them to as many students as possible. At the start of 2022, I moved to Melbourne to study a double degree in Engineering and Maths at Monash University. In 2024, I worked as a Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) leader at Monash, helping to teach engineering maths to first year engineering students. The role helped me develop as a tutor and widen my understanding of how to teach mathematics. In my spare time I like to go mountain biking or compete at university debating competitions. If you choose to work with me, I will always endeavour to provide as personalised a tutoring experience as possible. This means that lessons will be catered to suit you and your needs, whether that be reviewing exam questions, planning an assignment, or going over general study strategies and best practices for approaching problems. I always make a point of asking my students which teachers they like the most and why, and I adjust my teaching style to match. I hope to hear from you soon!
