Merryl

Hey there! My name is Merryl, and I’m super excited to assist you with your studies. I really enjoyed my time in high school, and would love to make your academic journey as enjoyable as mine.

I graduated with an ATAR of 99.85, and received a graduate degree package to study Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Dental Surgery at Unimelb. With a passion for biology and englang, I will continue to refine and expand on my knowledge, providing you with resources I created such as mind maps or bound reference material. I’d love to guide you through these subjects; acing your SACS, assessments, as well as the final exams.

In my time throughout high school, I explored different learning styles to find what suited me best, so I am confident that I’ll be able to adapt to or help you discover how you like to learn :) . High school and VCE can be tough at times, but I’ll be sure to support you, whether it be simple chats, advice or just being there whenever you need some company.

In year 11, I achieved a raw study score of 49 + Premier’s award for Chinese Second Language, which I’d be delighted to tutor! I am more than happy to practice for the oral exam with you, conducting mocks and giving feedback and suggestions about how to improve your script. With many sample essays and listening text resources for the written exam, I am positive about your success in learning Chinese!

Outside of academics, I find myself doing pretty relaxing and chill activities. As a foodie, I love trying different food and discovering hidden cafes, but I also find satisfaction in cooking. During the stress of VCE, I often went on walks to connect with nature and catch some fresh air (it’s really my only form of exercise…) to maintain my mental health.
