Ally
Hi!! I'm Ally, I'm currently studying a Bachelors of Law and Bachelors of Arts (majoring in International Relations) at Monash University. I graduated high school with an ATAR of 97.60 with all my subjects being in different areas. This provided me with an incredible opportunity to learn how to study for different subjects. All the subjects I offer I am super passionate about (there's a reason my current Uni degrees and my offered subjects involve a lot of writing) and I hope to instill that same passion in my students or help them find interest in a subject they may not enjoy as much. I have great essay techniques and tips (especially since it's not everyone's favourite task) as well as being able to teach any text and adjust to the work the student is completing in class very quickly. English and English Language have always been subjects I excelled at. I especially found English Language to be a true passion of mine! I know that the subject can be a bit intense or boring for some students but I aspire to provide a unique take that makes the (maybe dull) content more enjoyable. I studied the French and Russian revolutions as part of History Revolutions in year 11. I loved this subject and found it such a great introduction to year 12 content. I had a lot of my high school experience affected by the covid lockdowns and during this time I actually struggled a lot with motivation and study techniques, however this means I now have very adaptable techniques that I can teach students. I want my students to gain more than just knowledge in the chosen subject I want to help them with all areas of the schooling life, such as study schedules, time management tips, motivation tips and everything in between. I understand every student is unique and I want to help fit what works best for them.
