Rachel
Hey there! I’m Rachel, and I survived the trials and tribulations of HSC – just to gain the experience to make sure you can thrive in those same conditions! 💪 I graduated high school with an ATAR of 98.65, as an All-rounder Achiever with Band 6s in all my subjects. I’m currently pursuing my dream job as a concept artist through a double degree in Commerce and Fine Arts at UNSW! As a student and a tutor, I’m all about balance; whether it be a work-life balance or a balance between subjects. In Year 12 alone, I learned to haphazardly juggle my academic/social life and my participation in cadets (as a Company Commander), volleyball, the prefect leadership team (as a Communications Prefect), art classes, and TWO major works. (🎵 Don’t ask me how I did it, I just did it. It was hard.🎵) I'm passionate about creativity at heart, and how literature has forged important discussions in our world. You'll often find me reading a new novel, drawing in my sketchbook, or embroidering outside of uni! But enough about me, here's what I can offer you:
- Critical but constructive feedback, both verbally and written, on assignments or even just practice essays
- Techniques to write succinct essays with clear reader pathways, at any level of English ability
- Techniques to approach, unpack, and respond to difficult essay questions
- In-depth analysis of texts, on both a conceptual and technical level
- In-depth explanations of mathematical concepts, adapted to your learning style
- Break-downs of assessment criteria and requirements to ensure you understand what you need to do well :)
Don't be shy to contact me for a trial session, and I'll look forward to supporting you through your high school journey! 🥰
