Celeste
Hi, I’m Celeste!!👋 I completed the HSC in 2017 (ATAR 99.55) as an All-Round, Distinguished, and Top Achiever with a state rank in Extension English 1. I then graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and a Master of Biomedical Engineering. Along the way, I got myself involved in (maybe too many) societies and volunteer programs - even starting my own Cat Appreciation Society!😻
My favourite things to teach are English, Mathematics and Science subjects, particularly for Years 10-12. I especially love helping with assignments and providing feedback on my students' work.❤️
You probably think I’m a total nerd - and you’d be right. I’m a notorious high achiever, and I carry that same drive to my tutoring. I won't rest (literally) until I've infected my students with my same passion for excellence😈. Since becoming a tutor in 2017, I’ve developed a genuine love for helping others succeed. I know firsthand the pressures of school, and my mission is to show my students that learning can be enjoyable and enriching.
I believe that while top grades are amazing to aim for, Band 6's are only the tip of the iceberg to achieving excellence. Learning is a lifelong journey - my goal is to equip my students with the tools to become independent learners, empowering them to tackle challenges and pursue excellence long after high school.✨
I like to think of each session as a chill hangout where I happen to be teaching something. I love and encourage my students to be curious, interrupt, and challenge me.😄 I’m also committed to being readily available between sessions, whether it’s a quick good luck text before an exam, helping with a particularly hairy math question during a late-night study sesh, or offering advice about life after high school.❤️
