Caelan
Hey! I'm Caelan. I'm a UWA student studying the Bachelor of Biomedicine (Assured Pathway to Medicine).
Throughout my schooling years, I really spread myself thin for time, taking full advantage of every opportunity I got, whether that be playing guitar in bands, playing sport, doing Taekwon-Do, trying to maintain some semblance of a social life, or of course, achieving academically in the IBDP. On top of this, I took on multiple tutoring roles in and out of my school, meaning I have a lot of experience tutoring many subjects and students of different backgrounds and capabilities. Needless to say this demanded a lot of organisational skill, something I think is vital to achieve at any level of school (and beyond)!
If you take anything from my tutoring, I hope it's that anyone can achieve the results they want if they approach study in the way that's right for them. I remember very distinctly at the end of year 12, when a teacher was giving me an award they said "what I like about Caelan is that things don't always come naturally to him - he really works for what he achieves"... to the ENTIRE room. Ignoring the unintentional (or at least I hope) roast, I think this illustrates what makes me a good tutor. That I, like you maybe, had to climb that seemingly insurmountable hill by finding what worked for me.
Whether you're a high achiever looking to get those extra few marks to get where you want to go, or maybe someone struggling who needs that little bit extra help, that's fine! I would love to hear from you and have a chat.
