Hello, I'm Tharuka and my goal is to maximise your results without having to also maximise your workload.
I graduated high school as the Dux with an atar of 99.7 and scaled 50+ study scores in both Specialist Maths and Maths Methods. I loved both subjects, but hated studying.
That's why throughout high school I strived to study as efficiently as possible, simplifying and really understanding all the concepts to reduce my time spent practicing and memorising, so I wouldn't have to sacrifice things I love like gaming and having a social life. When I taught these tactics to others I realised that they could also reduce the amount they studied, while also improving their results, which really helped them reduce their school stress and even give them some more free time.
So, I made it my goal to provide each student with as personalised a tutoring experience as possible. Which means if you choose to work with me every lesson will be catered to your needs, whether that be reviewing exam questions, learning new concepts, or going over your study practices and strategies to approach difficult questions. I always make a point of communicating with my students to find what works the best for them and adjusting my teaching style to match that.
I'm currently studying a double degree of engineering and commerce at Monash, and in my free time I enjoy doing stuff with friends like gaming often a bit too late at night, going bowling or just hanging out and grabbing a bite to eat.
