Sonnet
Hi, I’m Sonnet! I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, majoring in English and Theatre Studies. Having recently graduated from high school, I understand how overwhelming English, Literature, Psychology, and Legal Studies can feel—but with the right strategies, support, and mindset, success is absolutely achievable. In Year 12, I faced significant challenges, including missing two months of school due to a health condition. However, through persistence, structured study techniques, and a passion for learning, I not only caught up but excelled—achieving raw 50s in both English and Psychology. I know what it takes to perform at the highest level, and I’m committed to helping students develop confidence, clarity, and critical thinking skills across all my tutoring subjects. I tailor my approach to each student’s unique learning style, ensuring you gain the tools to analyse texts effectively, write with precision, and master complex concepts. Whether you’re tackling an essay, preparing for SACs, or aiming for top marks in your final exams, I’m here to guide you every step of the way:) Beyond tutoring, I’m passionate about feminist literature and aspire to become a Feminist Literature Researcher or pursue International Law. My favourite authors include Austen, Woolf, Dostoevsky, and Camus. When I’m not studying, you’ll find me horse riding, writing creatively, travelling, or immersing myself in plays, concertos, and musicals. As Oscar Wilde said, “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” My goal is to help you reach for those stars—because success isn’t just about results; it’s about developing skills that empower you for life. Let’s work together to achieve your best!
