Sarah
Hi! My name is Sarah and I graduated as Dux from Carinya Christian School with an ATAR of 97.65. I am from a country town in New South Wales and have recently completed my Medical Science degree at the University of New South Wales (2024)! Currently, I'm studying postgraduate Medicine at the University of Sydney.
As a semi-recent high school (and now uni) graduate, I'm more than familiar with the stress and desire to achieve - and the difficulty of fitting this in with other important commitments like sports, social events, and downtime. During my time at high school, I competed in state-level netball competitions, completed my Gold Duke of Edinburgh, worked three part-time jobs (at once for a while - would not recommend haha! update: I'm currently working 5 jobs at the moment and its going alright đ ), and taught myself how to skateboard (a definite must during lunch breaks in lockdown!), all whilst maintaining my grades. Since beginning University, I've somehow undertaken many more activities than I did at school and if you can work out how to balance things correctly, then it's definitely possible!
That's why I am here to help you achieve your academic goals - trust me, I've been there and know exactly how you feel! Together, we can identify your strengths and weaknesses and improve both your subject knowledge, and your overall confidence and approach to your studies. We can focus on whatever learning style works best for you, and study tips are readily available. I'm also more than happy to share how I managed my busy schedule during high school, and teach you how to optimise your time to do the same! đ
Alongside my academic studies, I enjoy a range of hobbies: sports (netball and soccer in particular!), journalling, sunrise runs (or coffees... hey, sometimes you need a break đ), and I'm a sucker for country music! I also have a super cute puppy called Lexi; she's a Border-Collie-cross-Kelpie and loves reminding me to put my shoes away haha!
