Juliana
Hello, I'm Juliana! I'm a graduate of The Mac.Robertson Girls' High School who received a perfect study score of 50 in VCE French and a study score of 49 in VCE Further Maths (now General Maths). I study Law and Global Studies at Monash University, where I also play hockey and am finally (sort of?) coming to know myself.
From my 15 years of learning French, I received praise from my teachers, tutors and the Alliance Française for my near-native grasp of the French language. My pronunciation is my strongest point, however I developed an intuition of the language similar to that of someone at school in France. I was the recipient of Berthe Mouchette poetry prizes and came 2nd in the state for the Year 12 Oral and Written competition. I really believe it was my genuine love of the French language and of immersion (it was my form of escapism during the pandemic!) that got me to I this point. And that, my friends, is my philosophy for learning (especially languages!!) - you gotta love doing it.
Apart from French, I am a strong Maths student (missing it already from studying Law) who relates to both an intuitive and non-intuitive way of learning Maths. I hope to turn Maths from a subject you might feel ‘eh’ about into one you tackle head-on with your own personal set of skills and approaches.
So this is what I'll be aiming for in my lessons: helping you reframe subjects in the way(s) that appeals to you, makes use of your personal strengths, and unlocks your genuine passion; so that you can properly excel to your potential.
In my free time, you'll catch me strolling, hiking or lunching with friends, self-teaching new languages, mapping out my unrealistic travel plans, or re-re-binging Miraculous Ladybug (j'en suis obsédée).
I’m excited to get to know you!!
