Hey there!
My name is Aakrati Shetty! I am currently pursuing my Bachelors in Education at La Trobe University. Studying at school can be a roller-coaster ride, exhilarating and nerve-wrecking at the same time. I have been through it too and so I want to help students make the most of their school experience- both academically and socially! I passed out of high school with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English as my major subjects with an overall percentage of 98.4%. I was the highest scorer in the country and came in the 2nd position across 7 countries. At University, I have received the Provost's commendation along with Course Excellency Award for the highest WAM in my course. I personalize my lessons for students by adopting a strength-based approach- focusing and extending on your strengths and constructively working on areas where you require assistance. I also relate concepts to real-life experiences which generally help students better connect and understand concepts. My experience in tutoring students from a range of year groups from primary to secondary has given me extensive subject knowledge along with catering to individual learning needs and styles. I strongly believe that it is important to work 'smarter' and I can provide you with tips to balance your study life and your social life so that you don't miss out on anything and maximise your academic potential.
