Zane
Hi, I’m Zane and I unironically love Math. In fact, even now that I’ve escaped high school and am at university, I consistently do my best to incorporate math into every little aspect of my life, both in my hobbies and studies.
In high school, this manifested as me choosing to take both Specialist and Methods (to the horror of my less STEM-interested friends) and in me taking physics (so basically math with one extra step). I was lucky enough to enjoy all the subjects I took (excluding compulsory English, of course), and even luckier to have them all scale well.
This doesn’t mean that I coasted through my VCE journey in Math and Physics without trouble – I had my fair share of late nights cramming an extra exercise in, and I know how it can feel like there is never enough time to get it all done. But with time, I learned that with the right study habits you can balance school, a social life, and some semblance of a sleep schedule. As your tutor I’ll aim to help you figure those habits out in a way that works for you, while we spend our lessons building the key skills you’ll need to ace those tricky subjects together. VCE is challenging – but with the right tools and the right mindset (and perhaps variable amounts of caffeine), success is never out of reach for any dedicated student.
Out of high school now, I study Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science at the university of Melbourne (yes all three, I can’t decide), I like to code and do math in the (unfortunately little) free time I have, with a nice smooth latte by my side.
