Karven

Hello all! I’m Karven Chandrasena. I graduated from the Overseas School of Colombo with distinction in 2021 and completed my IB Diploma, earning a 7 in HL History and receiving the subject prize. Throughout both the MYP and DP I was consistently on the Honor Roll.

After school, I moved to Melbourne to study at the University of Melbourne, where I majored in History and minored in Media Communications. I finished my degree in 2025 and was honoured to receive the Ormond Scholar award for academic excellence. I’m now studying my Juris Doctor at Melbourne Law School.

I’m excited to start tutoring because it lets me stay connected to historical study while sharing my passion for the subject with the next generation of learners. In my sessions, I make sure students feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely engaged. I offer one-on-one lessons tailored to each student’s learning style and personality, helping them meet—and hopefully exceed—their academic goals.
