Xuan
Hey! I'm Xuan, current undergraduate student and newly-inducted Melbourne local. I graduated top of my class in Accounting and Finance and have received several accolades for my performance in various assessments and competitions relating to maths.
But beneath all these achievements that I can not-so-subtly humble-brag about lies a boy struggling to stay motivated for university as he slaves away at his commerce degree - countless assignments, poorly explained concepts, and the stress of exams always looming around the corner. Perhaps that resonates with you?
In spite of all that, I can't say that I hate studying - in fact, I love everything about it. And though this sentiment may seem contradictory or even destructive to you, to me it seems logical. After all, it is that which we love and hold closest to our hearts that have the potential to hurt us the most - and, for better or worse, I hold plugging numbers into equations unhealthily close to my heart.
With my lessons, I hope to help my students place the "love" in the love-hate relationship that most have with their studies - I hope they come out of my lessons loving the euphoria of a completed equation, loving the relief that washes over you when you grasp a difficult concept, loving every single step of the learning process. And though I have a penchant for dramatising the otherwise mundane notions I have towards studying, at the core of all this is my wish to bring out the fun and enjoyable parts of studying for my students - I will be sure to accommodate for whatever learning style works best for my students.
Hope to hear from you!
