Tatjana
Hi there, thanks for visiting my profile!
I’m Tatjana, an experienced teacher currently working in Geelong.
I have completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, as well as a Masters of Science, majoring in Marine Biology and Ecology, at James Cook University. I was incredibly fortunate to have worked as a marine biologist in Queensland, calling the Great Barrier Reef my office where I ran informative talks and in-water learning experiences. Inspiring and informing the public about our natural wonder of the world was an absolute privilege, and further spurned my love for teaching.
To make it official, I completed a Masters of Teaching at the University of Melbourne, specialising in VCE biology and science. I’ve taught in the UK as a GCSE maths lecturer, and in Australia, I've taught maths, science, english, psychology, and VCE biology. I’ve tutored throughout my teaching years, preparing students for selective entrance exams, as well as improving their confidence in their academic endeavours. I have developed an extensive set of pedagogical skills in delivering content and making learning accessible, where my students have shown an improvement in their grades and understanding, to which I am confident that you will benefit from as well.
I have an in-depth knowledge of the Victorian curriculum, and an insight on how rubrics and marking schemes work in regards to exams, SACS, or tests, helping you as a student understand how they function and how best to achieve full marks.
Outside of teaching, I still love to maintain my connection with marine biology, so I also work on a boat where we go swimming with dolphins and seals! If I’m not doing that, I’ll be off surfing, snorkelling, or just happily reading a good book.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you are interested in organising a skills assessment and seeing if I am a good fit for your learning.
Thanks for reading!
